Shahed Hunters

The Serhiy Prytula Foundation is launching a new fundraiser — “Shahed Hunters.” The goal is to support the air defence units that protect Ukraine's skies daily and require a continuous supply of interceptor drones.

Day and night, the enemy attacks Ukrainian towns and cities with Shahed-type kamikaze drones. Targets include energy infrastructure, logistical hubs, and civilian buildings.

To reliably counter these threats, modern air defense must be multi-layered – diverse tools are critical at every level. One of these solutions is interceptor drones.

Today, these systems have reached a technological level that allows them to effectively shoot down Shaheds mid-air; this reduces the load on conventional air defence, significantly lowering interception costs.

The tactic of using interceptor drones has already proven effective – and this field is rapidly evolving. To maintain the advantage, it’s critical to act ahead of the curve: respond swiftly to new threats, deploy and train units quickly, and ensure an uninterrupted drone supply.

As part of this fundraiser, we’re not only purchasing interceptor aircraft but also preparing 150 crews to operate them. This will allow us to scale up the effective tactic and form new teams to defend cities and critical infrastructure.

Who are we supporting?

Units that have already proven their effectiveness – those who have completed training and have tested these tactics in action. To expand their capabilities, they need more interceptor drones – and together, we can deliver.
Strengthening air defense is one of the Serhiy Prytula Foundation’s key strategic directions in 2025. The Foundation is systematically supporting initiatives to build an effective, multi-layered air defense system – one that is already demonstrating high efficiency in combating aerial threats.
