Fundraiser for a new CT scanner for the Kharkiv Military Hospital

In early May 2025, our Humanitarian Foundation joined the fundraiser of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region in Kharkiv for a new СT scan.

In 100% of cases, severely and moderately injured patients must be examined on a computed tomography scanner. Lightly injured patients – in 50-60%.

The scanner helps not only to see the consequences of the injury, but also to identify other potential health threats. For example, small splinters and internal bleeding.

Compared to the pre-war workload, the hospital now accepts 300-350% more patients. Most of them are examined on a CT scanner prior to surgery.

The only tomograph in the hospital was on the verge of failure. After its complete shutdown on May 16, you did an incredible thing in just a few days and helped us collect over half of the planned amount. In total, we managed to raise 18 337 161 hryvnias.

After lenghthy negotiations, we received an exceptional offer that allows us to purchase the CT scanner that the hospital needs for much less than planned – 17,8 million hryvnias. Under normal conditions, a CT scanner of this class would cost 10-11 million more.
